EMPRENDEJOVEN (Young-entrepreneur)
is a project promoted by the following departments of the regional government of Andalusía.
. Employment and Technological Development: Consejería de Empleo y Desarrollo Tecnológico,
. Education: Consejería de Educación y Ciencia
. Regional Development: Instituto de Fomento de Andalucía
OBJECTIVES
. Promotion of entrepreneurial attitudes and skills among young people involved in Specialised Vocational Training in Professional Schools (IES) of Andalusia.
. Provide motivation, information, orientation and resources for the development of entrepreneurial initiatives among these youngsters.
. Raise awareness about entrepreneurship as a reasonable possibility for employment.
PHASES
. Activation of participating schools. There is a previous process of selection, considering the different professional branches. The project is presented to teachers, counsellors and students, trying to awaken their interest and getting their active involvement.
- Selection of students taking into account their enterprising skills and in cooperation with their teachers.
- Three-days training course in the Andalisian Centre for Entrepreneurs in Malaga. In groups of 25-30 of students from the same province and in the same professional branch. Topic: technical aspects about ruling and starting an enterprise.
- Contest about Business Ideas and Enterprise Plans. It is also open to students that might not have participated in the previous phase.
- Following up of the different ideas and projects.
- Final meeting for the presentation of results and prizes. They are organised in every province and all participants invited.
The professional branches involved in the 2003 edition were: industry, ICT?s and services. Industry is the branch with a higher number of specific titles: 16. There are only three titles for ICT?s and twelve for the branch of services.. |  |
