The purpose of this project is to look at career and vocational guidance as it exists in the lower cycles of the secondary school system and the type of choices which pupils make. It will look particularly at the types of choices made by girls and boys, how these are detemined and how the determining process can be developed.
As such this project targets both career guidance teachers and classroom teachers in terms of how they can broaden students perceptions of the options and possibilities which exist.
The transnational exchange of information between both teachers and career guidance counsellors both on a macro level in terms of the Education and school system in which they operate and on a micro level in terms of their own professional experience is identified as a key element in the development of inservice training modules.
It is anticipated that the Action 3.2 context will be a continupus source of module development and extension.
