Short description:
      Objectives: The main objective is to study the applicability of an internationally
      developed group intervention to decrease depressive symptoms and promote job-seeking
      activity. A further objective is to study the rate and quality of re-employment
      of the workers who have been given notice, and of those who are unemployed. The
      group intervention is meant to be widely implemented in cooperation with
      occupational health services and labor authorities as a part of activities aimed at the
      promotion of subjective competence, re-employment and health.

      Subjects: About 1,250 unemployed persons and workers who have been given notice.

      Methods: The 2-year randomized, controlled study has three follow-ups with the
      questionnaire method.
