"The objectives of the project are to enable teacher trainees to gain international work experience by training them at institutions abroad. They are expected to teach their subject through a foreign (English) language at secondary schools with CLIL departments (Content and Language Integrated Learning). They will thus become teachers with CLIL expertise and with experience in the field of telematics. They will be more mobile than the present teacher usually is, and will become teachers who are more flexible by having had to deal with different curricula.
The project will also enable university teacher training institutions and CLIL departments of secondary
schools to become organisations in which cultural exchanges take place: exchanges between trainees from
various countries in Europe and between the trainees and their secondary school pupils. They will become
organisations with a strong international character. Universities and secondary schools will have to
co operate very closely within the project. The target group is teacher trainees and pupils of secondary schools, who will be taught by foreign teachers.
The expected outcomes are models for international exchange, procedures for selecting students; models
for supervision, for assessment and peer-counselling and telematic support, and description of the results of
cultural exchanges."
