| The project "Lernortkooperation" in order of the municipality Graz/Office of economy and tourism has the goal to increase the intensity of co-opearations between vocational schools and enterprises as future employers in Graz.
In spring 2002 started the named project with interviews of experts from schools, economy, social partners and representatives of similar project areas, to analyse the actual situation.
The goal is to develop concrete and transferable measures in participation of all actors. The recognitions have been supported by additional reports of written and personal questionnaires with enterprises and apprentices of the information- and communication technology sectors. Through the pleasant high participation and the parallel running dialogue workshops with the vocational schools in Eibiswald (Landesberufsschulen Eibiswald), Hartberg and Graz the following emphases have been established for the project:
· Coordination in curricula, duration and contents of education
· Current exchange of changes in the area of vocation
· Practice in enterprises and education in firms for teachers
Increased co-operations with small enterprises
Because of the great interest in the project, that has been discovered in the questionnaires with apprentices, there will be an increased offer for measures in qualifying apprentices. In these semiars (especially in the field of personal qualifications) apprentices can participate for free through the grant of the municipality of Graz.
