The project brings together two in-service training centres and a school from P, UK and E in order to build up an ongoing training programme aiming at improving teachers' skills, mainly in the area of autonomous learning, in terms of methodological competences and strategies. This autonomous learning will provide the students with the techniques to develop a life-long learning approach in order to face the constant changes in the workplace. The aim is to establish a network of Teacher Training Institutions and schools to share, develop and disseminate new teaching practices, methods and pedagogical materials as well as the update of teachers' pedagogical competences in the use of new technologies inside and outside school. There will be training workshops and European training courses. The project is planned for three years and will target primary and secondary school teachers as well as teacher trainers, headteachers and vocational trainers. The expected results are materials development, including case studies of good teaching practices, a database and a web site as well as a CD-Rom and the establishment of a network of contacts among schools. The applicant also plans a small publication on the project's theme."
