OBJECTIVES
To develop the school curriculum for TVA (Transition to Adult Life).
TVA includes three curricular areas:
Social and community insertion.
Social and Daily Life Autonomy.
Training and orientation to the working life.
This last area is based on carpentry and ceramics workshops.
These workshops cannot be considered the main way for the acquisition of work-insertion skills. Otherwise all the curricular areas must be interrelated so the pupil becomes able to act with autonomy in his world. That?s why our school provides training periods in different firms and institutions that trust our work.
This was our initial goal but during the three years of our project we have reached more than initially expected. Developing the TAV curriculum became more than a simple school task, acquiring a global sense that we shared with our partner schools, promoting the integration of our pupils.
Our project pupils have been benefited by the high pedagogical value of our teamwork, sharing the experiences of different schools from different countries.

METHODOLOGY
In our attempt to carry out a practical project and due to the amount of work of our daily teaching tasks, we resorted to the Comenius project in order to develop in a different and motivating way the TAV programme.
As the partner schools and their interests were different we tried to agree in two common objectives:
Mutual professional knowledge: exchange of experiences.
Exchange of resources.
The concrete objectives for every project year varied depending on the specific needs of every school.
The combination of this variety let us develop our TAV programme with motivation and new perspectives and possibilities that were not initially previewed.
SUbjecrt Areas:
Social and Community Insertion, Social and Daily Life Autonomy, Training and Orientation to the Working Life, Physical Education, Speech Therapy, Music.
The pedagogical approach has been global and integrative, promoting teamwork and the interrelation pupil-environment. It has developed the European Dimension of our schools; bit-by-bit the European Union becomes part of our pupils? reality, they know more about other European countries. Another advantage has been the increase of social and professional interaction.
The activities of mobility have been indispensable to provide knowledge of distant environments and improve our pupils? self-esteem and self-image, in order to trust in their own possibilities..
