Short description:
"MaMaEuSch - Management Mathematics for European Schools" sets to change the way mathematics is taught by using the area of management to show the applicability of school mathematics. The approach is to develop teaching material and course presentations for student teachers and for continuing education of active teachers. Both groups will learn to model real-world problems taken from industry and society.

The activities will focus on developing multilingual teaching material for project-oriented teaching and on testing these materials in courses for student teachers (pre-service level) and for in-service teachers at national and international levels.

The target groups will be students, future teachers and in-service teachers.

The expected outputs include: multilingual teaching material; internet teaching aids; presentation material for courses/workshops for both teachers and future teachers. These will contain experiences with different mathematical modelling approaches to solve real-world problems.
