Short description:
A goal of the project "CCT Career Counselling for Teachers" (vocational guidance for teachers) is the improvement of the instruction quality, by pupils, teaching profession students and teachers with current information about formal and personnel conditions for teacher training and occupation, over which career profile of the teacher, via whom national and international job market and the conditions of work within the education range are generally supplied as well as via the attitude possibilities in the education sector.
With the project two principal purposes are pursued. 1. The teacher training is to be developed further, as students and teachers practical methods are ordered, in order to be able to estimate the necessary personal potential and the necessary qualifications realistically. 2. The mobility on the national and international market is to be promoted, as information about places and conditions of work and study are supplied in other European countries. Target group of the project are primarily vocational advisers or teachers with occupation-advisory tasks, in addition, pupils at resuming schools, teaching profession students and teachers. In the context of the project partnership Austrian mechanisms of the teacher training and four universities in Germany, Estland, Spain and Ireland co-operate. The newest developments of the theory of the vocational guidance are considered. Methodologisch are used the concepts self guidance, self encouraging, open instruction and remote teachings, independent and life-accompanying learning as well as on questionnaires to personal qualifications and on tests. Most important result of the project will be in the third project year a course for vocational advisers in the context of the action 3,2, furthermore the development of new advising methods and materials, the production of an InterNet data base and finally publications and Materialienin the languages German, English, Irish, Spanish, Russian and Estnisch.
