Short description:
Stock Market Training

What is Stock Market Training?

It began in 1983

an exciting competition for students and trainees
a mixture of fiction and reality
a game for learning about shares and other securities
a mirror of the world economy
a chance for all to win!!

How does it work ?
The participants build teams. Each team receives a securities account with a fictitious starting capital in euro. During 10 weeks, the teams can place their orders to buy or sell securities actually traded on a number of European stock exchanges. The list of these securities is made available on this web site. The purpose of the game is to maximise the value of the team’s portfolio. The calculation is made on the basis of real stock exchange prices. To pass their orders, the participants can use either their local savings bank or the internet. All orders are processed via the central computer at Deutscher Sparkassen Verlag (German savings banks publishing house) in Stuttgart, Germany.

Who are the winners?
The winners are those teams that succeed in reaching the highest profit by investing skilfully their starting capital. The prizes given to them are trips, money and gifts. However, we should not forget, that every participant is a winner, in terms of the experience gained in securities trading!

How can I participate?
The game is organised by the European savings banks. Participation for students is generally free. Contact your savings banks or send an e-mail to zentrale@planspiel-boerse.dezentrale@planspiel-boerse.de
