"Sentra" sets out to:

- improve the skills of secondary school teachers in integration and inclusion at the point of student transition
- improve transition between secondary low level mainstream schooling and secondary high level schooling for students, especially those with social and/or special needs
- improve transitions between school and the worlds of work, college, or university, especially for those with special and/or special needs
- improve the interchange of information between phases of school

The main activities of SENTRA include:
- INSET training course for target group of education staff
- Interactive translinguistic website

SENTRA addresses the needs of the following target groups: secondary teachers, special needs teachers, teachers with responsibility for career and post school placements
