The project "PER UNA SCUOLA DELL ORIENTAMENTO IN EUROPA" or "For a Guidance Education in Europe" deals with the introduction of pedagogical approaches in compulsory education aimed at providing pupils with the capabilities required to make decisions concerning their personal and professional development. Specifically, the project focuses on the "learning to learn" capability and on project-oriented pedagogies, that are intended to prepare pupils to plan education/training and professional careers in a context of self confidence. Within this context the project wants to focus especially on the following transversal competencies and skills: the ability of building relationships, the capacity of critical thinking and reflection, the taking up of responsibilities and the belief in oneself and self-esteem.
Activities - over a period of two years - will include the comparison of practice and approaches developed in the countries involved (I, E, F, DK), the joint development of educational materials for teachers and the trial run of experiments in schools to validate the methodologies developed. The project¿s outputs will consist of an interactive cd-rom and textual supporting materials and possibly also of an in-service training within the framework of action 3.2. of Comenius.
