Miguel Angel Megias is Manager in the partner institution: Ayuntamiento de Punta Umbria. ADL is a municipality in the region Andalusia.
Main emphases of their work are:
- Modernisation of local productive systems
- Socio-economical promotion of the area
- Search of sustainable ways to exploit the resources in the area
- Development of a local net of enterprises
- Promotion of new enterprise initiatives: search of founds, official support, training of human resources (unemployment, workers, entrepreneurs, etc.)
- Orientation in the search of employ and social integration to unemployed in general and specifically to deprived collectives such as women, young people and long term unemployed.
European programs:
- Youthstar 97-2000: Project BOSCO. Establishing a professional itinerary for young people between 16-29 years old in risk of social exclusion. Partners: The Education Department of Manchester City Council, Dublin Irish Congress, Arci from Sicilia and Palermo Ministry of Justice
- Members of the Administration Counsel and Directors of the Association of Municipalities from Algarve-Huelva ANAS, where the project TERRA is managed together with FEDER article 10, INTEGRA (Casa Local de Empleo) ADAPT (Micro-enterprises 2001), ATTAS (Culture).
- Youth in Europe, hosting young people for their training together with Portugal´s Santa Casa de Misericordia de Campoamor
- Members of the Administration Counsel REIIES (Red Europea de Iniciativas de Insercion Económica y Social-European Network of Initiatives to the Social and Economical Insertion) with 26 Partners from Finland, France, Portugal, Italy , Belgium and Spain, exchanging experiences and programming European projects in this field
- EQUAL Suratlantico:
- Inside the axis 1 of insertion of deprived groups a pilot project of insertion for young people in the field of environmental activities was developed. ADL is a member of the Regional Government ´s Consejeria de Empleo and Consej. de Medioambiente.
