a) Target groups:
Pupils at the age of 15-19 from different countries
b) Methods:
Pupils found a real enterprise for the duration of one school-year. They offer products or services at the real (school-related) market. The pupils make important desicions as named below:
* Finding a product-idea
* Making market-research
* Procurement of financial support
* Procurement of products used
* Production
* Marketing and sale
* Book-keeping (Calculation of taxes, etc.)
* Leading of enterprises and organisation
Making a summary one can say: As much reality as possible and as less didactical reduction as possible
c) Main goals:
"What is economy?" The answer pupils shall not read out of their school-books, but collect their own experiences. JUNIOR makes it possible. JUNIOR is an innovative project, that supports several demands of economy in schools: Practical contents, understanding of combinations in economy or establishment of special skills / qualifications
d) Activities / Events:
There take place national und inter-national fairs, where pupils can present their enterprises to the public. Further more there can be new contacts with other pupils / teachers in other schools. As a highlight of the JUNIOR-year there can be considered the national and inter-national competitions. The pupils have to present in these events their enterprise to a jury. The most sucessful enterprise is chosen by the below named criteria:
* Idea for the enterprise
* Correct bookkeeping
* Keeping the deadlines in the JUNIOR-year (Registration, accounting)
* Presentation of the enterprise at the competition and on stage
* Stall at a fair . |  |
