Studets between 12 and 16 years of age.
During the school year the student's run an international business cooperative firm. They exchange their products with school firms from other countries using videoconference. After that they sell the products in the local market. The benefits are shared among the students.
Methodology:
The participants use didactic materials with theoretical and practical contents which have been developed by a team of teachers, pedagogists, psychologists and experts in business.
The program is part of the ENTREPRENEUR FORMATIVE CHAIN, a method aimed to the development of the enterprising culture, starting at primary school up to the stablishment of a firm.
1.The students have to face the challenge of creating an enterprise and working in a realistic way, having foreign partners and trading with them. Thus they have to observe, explore their environment, plan and organise their work, develop different tasks, assume responsibilities and take decisions. These tasks let them acquire skills which are relevant for their personal and professional development.
2. Use of ICTs as part of the learning process: e-mail, multimedia and videoconference. These tools give them access to other cultural realities.
3. Use of a foreign language for the exchange of products with their foreign partners. Improving their competence and developing the European and international dimension of education.
OBJECTIVES.
1.To discover and to know the main features of their socioeconomic environment at local, regional, national and international level, awakening their interest and participation.
2.To discover and know the basic rules and values of the enterprise, the productive world and labour relations, appreciating the importance of work and persons in the development of society.
3.Being aware of the inequality in the world of work due to sex, social or ideological condition. Participating actively to changes towards equality.
4.Acting creatively and with enterprising spirit in their self-direction and training, using their own experiences as a source of knowledge.
5.Search, select and interpret information. Use it in a critical and responsible way.
6.Contribute to the use of foreign language as a means of communication
7.Promote the use of ICTs as efficient working tools in everyday life.
8.Promote and support all factors aimed to the development of enterprising attitudes and initiatives and the access to the labour market of young people.
This programme has become an optional subject for secondary education in the region of Asturias in the year 2003.
The experience is being carried on wirh paertners from Europe, USA, South Africa and New Zealand. . |  |
